Oh, and I forgot America and England from Hetalia for Bishie Con!
Yes, do the sneaking suit! I'm hoping I get a chance to wear The Boss' sneaking suit a lot next year.

Since my Hellsing fell though due to budget I might do it next time. I'm also planning, if I can get the material, on a Silent Hill costume.

I'm hoping I get a chance to wear The Boss' sneaking suit a lot next year. ive been meaning to ask you where you got your STABO harness? i pretty much just threw my costume together at the last second. i couldnt even paint my suspenders black. i heard from your husband that you got all the pouches at an "uncle sam's" store, which i have easy access to, but couldnt find the harness, and they're really expensive so ive heard. as for the sneaking suit, it's going to take some work. ive only seen ONE cosplayer actually pull off a succsessful replica of the black suit. o.e

I think Mikhail is planning on giving you a full listing of where we got everything, but here's the gist. BDUs - homemade from olive drab linen Bandanna - homemade from loose-woven polyester Boots - should be jungle boots which you can get at any surplus store, but I'm wearing work boots until I can afford better ones Compression shirt - bought for $15 from Wal-Mart and modified with elastic and a collar extension, also added loops for my hands so it doesn't ride up Gloves - leather gloves from a thrift store cut down and sewn for stability, then straps with buckles added Belt - canteen & belt set from Uncle Sam's, but I replaced the canteen cover after the first snap broke with a Rothco cover, which is more accurate Radio pouch - Korean-style ammo pouch, but I'll be replacing it with a British one for better accuracy, added a block of foam inside and a radio antenna so I could wear it without the radio in it for Naka-Kon Butt pack - they have these for $2 at Uncle Sam's in South County (this is the historically accurate pack) Ammo pouches x2 - M1956 Ammunition Pouches bought from an online company (I'll have to remember the name and tell you later) STABO harness - homemade from 1 3/4" nylon strapping and various hardware pieces I bought from online companies, could be annoying to do again because many of these companies had minimum order amounts which I fulfilled because I was also doing Snake's harness; I know the correct pieces for the bottom are called "V-rings" Transceiver - homemade by Mikhail from various parts, craft foam, a cell phone hands-free device CQC knife and sheath - homemade by Mikhail from flat plastic and cord Pistol - Colt M1911A1 airsoft pistol painted for accuracy Pistol holster - homemade from blackboard vinyl I think that's it. It took a long time to make for what it was, but I'm happy.

Hmm... well, it sounds like a good start. I've only seen one person do the costume at all. You may have to learn some construction techniques before attaching the lacing, though. Maybe you should start a Metal Gear cosplay thread so we don't have to take over the general cosplay thread.

But isn't that what the general cosplay thread is for? To discuss your costumes?
