I sew, and I like to draw despite sucking at it. Most of my drawing is kept tightly under wraps because it's so awful, or I just use it to design costumes. When I'm going to make a new costume based on an existing design, I draw it from every angle and imagine what each layer looks like on paper first before ever putting my scissors to fabric.
Mikhail paints, but it's mostly for action figures and costuming purposes.

You both are such a wonderfully talented couple x3!! What's your favorite kind of costume to design?

I like sparkly things. ;D
Actually, my favorite is doing deconstruction and decay. It seems most of my original designs involve blood stains, dust, mold, etc. It's fun to do. I liked Maladict the best because I got to put old blood stains and bullet holes all over it.

Can I say all the above? XD
At this point and time I sew more than anything. I am pleased to say one of the cosplays I will be wearing was made by me, ok, half of it..... In the past, I've dabbled in my fair share of art. Drawing, sculpture, wheel pottery (which is the most fun), and writing.

I like doing both original designs and recreations. Original designs are fun because you aren't bound to any particular source material and can really wow people with something that they've never seen before.
However, being the detail-obsessive nerd that I am, recreations are also fun beacause I can memorize every little detail on a costume (like the number of resistors on a Ghostbusters' belt gizmo, etc.) Although the average person who sees your costume won't notice every source-accurate detail that you labored over for hours, when they see all of the pieces together, it will click in their subconcious that your costume is dead-on.
I also build props, sew, take photographs, do graphic design, and draw rather bizzare chibis...

Dude @_@, that's just insane <3<3 Every time I try to get something dead on I take creative licensing to it and usually by the time I'm done no one can tell what It is anymore xD;; I'd love to see something you've done, it sounds just mind blowing to see something completely hand done yet perfectly accurate (also just original works of awesome! I love it when people do original stuff! Not only is it cool to see a new character and the persons creative skills, but it gives you inspiration and just generally brings out the mood that cons should always have of creative freedom and fun x3).... Also GHOSTBUSTERS :'D <3<3! *nerd* Bizarre chibis are the BEST kind of chibis x3 <3 One more thing |D I love your signature <3 poor Goemon xD

The cosplay, mostly made by me, is what I will be wearing on Sunday. Sarah from Labyrinth. I will upload a picture, once the vest is done, to DA. My dA is...ok, there is no way for my to check right now since I am at work and they have a program that blocks dA. I will edit this later. None of my pottery is perfectly straight but there are pieces I am very proud of.

I sculpt with Fimo clay, but I haven't done anything new for a while. If anyone ever saw Mikhail's Cerberus when he was Vincent, I sculpted the wolf head and claws.
