I'm a girl. I think more girls attend cons but there are probably a fair amount of guys to. I think girls can pull of the costume thing better then boys (sorry guys.) But I'm the only girl in a group of 3 other boys so.... Ya...

i'm into anime and i'm a guy. Down here in Springfield there's a lot of closet otakus very few that expresses their obsession. wow that's sad. no one should deprive their inner otaku of life. a few of my friends are doing that but i'm slowly feeding that abused otaku and keeping it alive. there's a poster in my room that says feed te abuse closet otakus! lol ;D and Kabu-chan if you want i can hang out with you to to help balance out you boy population in you group!

i know depressing for me especially when i came from the anime world capital, Japan. Spent a whole ten years on a small island of Okinawa, practically grew up there. I was use to seeing my high school friends come to school wearing the leaf village headbands and wear various otaku gear hell even a few of the teachers were otakus themselves.

Closet geeks drive me nuts because it means they're embarrassed. Why be embarrassed? I got my boss who is not an otaku by any means to go to the convention last year, and I got a raise for it. No, he was just very, very impressed that I kept something like that running all weekend.

I'm a male and I consider myself a huge anime fan. I have a huge library of movies and series both dub and sub. I don't own many manga, but that's because when I'm done with a manga I usually trade it for another one or sell it. I have trouble expressing my love for anime because here in Cape Girardeau it seems like there are very few anime fans, or at least I haven't found many. I used to have "Anime Nights" with my friends where we would watch anime late into the night, but eventually they quit coming so I haven't done it in a long time.

I am a female anime fan and not afraid to admit that I watch yoai and even yuri. Granted, I am surrounded by people that refuse to understand my interest...>_> Dang families.....
