Who are your top ten? And what is it that you like in a character? Mine are: 10. Otacon (Metal Gear Solid) 9. Keroberos (Cardcaptor Sakura) 8. Ben Linus (Lost) 7. Shi Ryuki (Saiunkoku Monogatari) 6. Fujiwara no Sai (Hikaru no Go) 5. Willy Wonka (as played by Gene Wilder) 4. Murata Ken (Kyou Kara Maou!) 3. Okita Souji (Peacemaker Kurogane) 2. Severus Snape (Harry Potter) 1. The Boss (Metal Gear Solid) I tend to like characters whose intentions are unclear at the beginning (Kero-chan, Ben, Willy Wonka, Snape, The Boss). I also love loyalty and a certain martyr quality (Otacon, Ben, Murata, Souji, Snape, The Boss). Also, moe (Otacon, Kero-chan, Ben, Ryuki, Sai, Souji). I like the ones who seem strong but secretly break in front of the ones they love (Ryuki, Snape, The Boss). Single-mindedness is also a strange attraction too (Ryuki, Sai, Willy Wonka, Murata, The Boss). I guess it's the geekiness of spending 1000 years obsessed with the same thing, you know? And then, somehow, the self-absorbed or seemingly self-absorbed (Kero-chan, Ryuki, Sai, Murata, Snape). And whatever they do, they have to do it with style (all of them). Characters who ALMOST make the list: Doc Brown (Back to the Future) Ayame Sohma (Fruits Basket) Strangelove (Metal Gear Solid) Harley Quinn (Batman)

10. Sam Gamgee (Lord of the Rings) 9. Vivi Ornitier (FFIX) 8. Willow (Willow) 7. Shinji Ikari (Evangelion) 6. Vincent Valentine (FFVII) 5. Misaki Takahashi (Junjou Romantica) 4. Cloud Strife (FFVII) 3. Kurama (Yuu Yuu Hakusho) 2. Kaworu Nagisa (Evangelion) 1. Miles Vorkosigan (Lois McMaster Bujold's novels)
I tend to like characters who possess a trait or quality that I envy. Miles thinks spectacularly well on his feet, which I can never do, and when he's got a goal in sight, he has virtually no inhibitions, which I can't even imagine. I also tend to like a character who's particularly calm and confident and a bit mysterious (Kaworu, Kurama). Then there are the mixed-up ones (Cloud, Misaki, Vincent, Vivi, Shinji) who endear themselves to me as they're trying to get their heads sorted out. I also adore Misaki because he's one of the few characters who's ever made me literally laugh out loud. And lastly, the little ordinaries who just get tossed headlong into adventure and danger (Sam, Willow), and come out bigger on the other side.

10.) Brandon Heat (Gungrave) 9.) Yusuke (Yuu Yuu Hakusho) 8.) John Marstin (Red Dead Redemption) 7.) Ippo (Hajime No Ippo) 6.) Wolfwood (Trigun) 5.) Simon (Guren Lagann) 4.) Spike (Cowboy Bebop) 3.) Lambo (reborn) 2.) Viral (gurren Lagann) 1.) Kamina (Gurren Lagann)
I like the characters who start scared but grow through out the series and in the end grow to their full potential ( Ippo and Simon.) Also The characters who seem to be trying to escape their past and start a new life (John Marston, Wolfwood and Spike.) I like Brandon Heat because he was loyal all the way to the end. Yusuke always seemed fearless to me, same with Kamina. Lambo with all his different ages was everything from a cute baby, a funny teen and a complete badass as an adult. and Viral well idk He was just badass
