So yeah, I am not quite sure how I sign up to be a panelist, or what comes with the room I would be getting, but I want to host a panel where we watch the independent Zelda fan movie, Hero of Time. I did this at Natsucon, and despite being my first panel with a few setbacks, it was a pretty big success. I am submitting this thread under the premise that this is a comedy movie, because it's one of those so-bad-it's-good type things.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of registration form for signing up to get a panel on the main site. I didn't really look too hard, but yeah.
What I'd need: Projector Good sound system Microphone
I am always really cautious and don't try to assume too much, so if any of what I need seems obvious, just bear with me. :x Stuff needs to be confirmed outright and all that.
Thanks everyone.

It is necissary to mail these forms in because you have to send in the check/money order to the P.O. box along with your pre-registration.

We ask you to mail the form because it shows a little more initiative to want to do the panel. You can simply print it out and send it in with your registration.
If you are registering with a group, you can just include your panelist form with that group registration packet. Please read the group form. It says you have to send in full registration forms for each group member. For yours, just substitute your regular registration form for the one in the panelist registration packet.
There is no online registration for groups, but if you register by yourself online, you can either mail the form or send it via email after you've registered.

Believe me, if there is equipment and if it's displayed in the schedule, I'd show up and do it.
But see, the problem is that there's a time limit for panelist registration, since it's assumedly first come first serve, and our group needs to get organized for money and everything before we register.

It's true that it's first come, first served, but it's worse for us if there's a panel space, and the panelist doesn't show up. That's not fun for con-goers at all.
If it gets close to deadline, and we still have some space left, we'll schedule it, but otherwise at least one of you will have to register and send in the form in order to get the panel, preferably sooner rather than later.

Could you just like, be a bro and write me in there with some kind of placeholder. That would be coolio. :> 'Cause I also would like a specific sort of time slot and whatever.
Also, I assume there's going to be some sort of schedule? Do these include descriptions? Should I write out a description for this panel?

What I'll do is find a staff member who just kind of wants to do a panel and put you in that place with his/her panel as the backup. You'll need to tell me for sure one way or another by the middle of February, though. Let's say the day the forms are due, Valentine's Day, I believe. Your deadline will be Valentine's Day. Since you're the first to ask, you're the only person who gets this privilege.
Anyway, a description would be grand! We put those in the program books.

Sorry I took so long to respond. I actually did read this awhile ago, back in September when you first wrote it. I figured I'd get the money in in a timely fashion. I want you to know that I'm really glad you've made this exception. I have the form completely filled out. I have had it for awhile. It's just the issue of money and my friends and all that. I suppose I will not be group registering, after all, so I'll try to get the money in by the end of the week. Stay beautiful.

Also, would I be able to advertise Hyrule.net as a representative and a moderator? Nothing big, just add a little "Brought to you by Hyrule.net" type thing. It IS a Zelda panel, and we're one of the larger sites in the Zelda community, but I don't want this affiliation to become a problem or anything.
