Does the con rate of $109 include all those little taxes and fees, or no?

As far as I know, it doesn't, actually. Most room rates are before taxes and fees. I know we don't have event fees here like in Kansas City, so it should just be tax.

No, if you reserve the room over the phone they will tell you taxes and fees will apply after this price. And also if you plan to pay in cash when you check in at the hotel (I know this applied to the Crowne Plaza, but I'm not sure about the new location) they charged an extra amount ($75 at the Crowne Plaza) that they would give back to you at the end of the weekend.

I've got some available space for any female that doesn't want to pay the $109/night. There are two of us, and two twin beds, but if you've got a sleeping bag or don't mind laying on the comforter on the floor, then you're welcome to join. I'm a bit worried about the tax myself since I'll be paying for it all. The tax at the Crowne was a lot more than I figured it would be, but then again, I'd never gotten my own room there before.

Yeah, hotel taxes will kill you sometimes, and they fluctuate based on whatever the hotel wants, I think. They don't seem to be a consistent rate EVER.

I had just asked because I was comparing the con rate to my AAA discount rate.
