Are there any kimono enthusiasts out there? I've got a pretty small, but well loved collection. It so far consists of an odd assortment of stuff, which I bought off ebay, and from a friend who sold it cheap cheap cheap b/c they were ruined. I love wearing kimono and I'd really like a reason to wear it out and about, not just to cons and J-Fest. It'd be neat to meet some others in St. Louis area and meet up to go hang out at the Galleria or just to go to a restaurant, or whatever.
If any kimono enthusiast wants to meet up, I'd love to talk or something. I'll probably be in kimono most of the con, except for Saturday, or until I get tired of wearing my cosplay. Isn't it funny that I consider a kimono to be more 'comfortable' than a skirt and jacket? lol
~I'll be wearing either a pinkish, flower homongi with a purple otaikoand pink obiage or a grey yukata, maple themed, with a yellow hakata patterned hanhaba
~or a ro with with dandelion seeds and ro nagoya with purple waves. Again with the hot pink obiage.
-my cosplay will be a red/orange striped jacket with an odd face on the butt and a white skirt. There's a border on the bottom that's black, red, and gold (remind you of anything?)
I'd really love to meet anyone, or anyone who wants to learn more about kimono. I shall also shameless troll my own page and ask if anyone (female) needs a room for the weekend because I have room in mine.
