I had a lot of fun last year, and greatly look forward to 2013 (should the apocalypse not completely destroy the earth).
While I was totting around my modest video camera, it occurred to me: Some events discourage photos and videos to be taken. After all, what was the point of charging people to attend if other's could simply watch it for free on youtube? I couldn't find anything in the rules that say you CAN'T take pictures or video, and while I noticed some panels/events openly filming I still got a little paranoid while tapping that someone would come up and ask me to turn it off.
It's probably obvious by now, but my question is this: Does Kawa Kon encourage/discourage/doesn't care about media sharing?
Would anyone feel uncomfortable about being caught on film, such as in the hallway or in the background of an event? Do certain panels want/not want to be filmed or photographed?
